Our Projects

The following projects are a good cross section of the work we've completed over the years. Some of these projects were designed and constructed by us, others we only constructed working from other designers landscape plans. Many of our projects are spread out across Melbourne from Williamstown to Sorrento, so regardless of location please contact us today to discuss your project further.

Templestowe - Private Retreat

This transformation was a combination of function, practicality and beauty. Having the small patch of glass allows for easy yard maintenance. The paved area is the perfect size for outdoor entertainment. A built in planter box gives a grander size to the yard.

Chadstone - A Modern Chinese Garden

This one the most private and tranquil gardens we have ever constructed. The garden and floating spotted gum bridge is the entrance to Wolf Architects. We installed a floating bench seat using reclaimed timber from an old wharf. With minimal planting of Bamboo, and expanses of pebbled areas, this garden has a modern chinese feel.

Camberwell - European Getaway

With a strong european theme this garden was always going to have a big impact. Commencing with a blank canvas front and back, it took us approximately 10 weeks to transform this landscape. This project incorporated all aspects of landscape construction, from lighting, irrigation, turfing, rendering, paving, exposed aggregate concreting, retaining walls and a pergola.

Northcote - Sandstone Pathway

We don't often use sandstone for paving in Melbourne. Generally more local products are used such as bluestone. However this crazy paving entertainment area and side pathway looked absolutely fantastic. The edges were left jaggered to give a more informal feel to the garden. We also planted a row of Pyrus calleryana (ornamental pears) to screen out the neighbours.

Brunswick - Quiet Corner

This garden was overgrown with weeds when we first commenced. Four weeks later our clients had a beautifully designed garden complete with a water tank, bench seat with storage beneath, and a water feature. We love transforming a space from neglected into functional and beautiful.

Balwyn - Outdoor Revival

This project involved a complete transformation from a tried 1960's garden to a well designed usable space. We started by pulling out all the existing vegetation, lawn area and pool surrounds. Then we commenced constructing a rendered retaining wall along the back boundary and paving around the existing pool area. The new covered outdoor deck provides the perfect area for entertaining, finished off with automatic irrigation, a new lawn area, garden lighting and plantings. The photos below show before, during and after.

Williamstown - Modern Garden

This contemporary, modern garden was designed to suit the rendered cube style of the house. The garden consists of straight lines that remain parrallel to the house throughout. The pool and spa are located adjacent to the house and is central to the design. A floating bench seat, covered BBQ area and deck create a great outdoor entertainment space. The scale and detail of this project were designed to the millimeter, making it one of the best projects we have constructed.

Sorrento - Private Retreat

This project was one of the toughest physically we have ever attempted. The garden drops away very steeply at the back of the property which means that everything had to be carried in by hand with no assistance from machinery. It took us ten weeks to transform this sandy incline into an ordered tiered space. The 125 mm by 125 mm cypress pine posts with varying heights gives the young garden some height and interest while the plants establish and grow. We love a challenge and this garden sure did provide us with one.

St. Kilda - Native Garden

This small rustic style garden hadn't been updated since the 1960's. We constructed a native garden with red gum bench seats, granite boulders and planted out with eucalyptus and grass trees. We loved the end result of this small inner city space.
